We support many worthy causes related to our community, local education, and the industry through engagement, direct funding, and in-kind donations, as well as through employee participation and volunteering. Reflective of our culture of responsibility, community outreach is done in the spirit of our commitment to be a responsible corporate citizen. Our Charitable Contribution Policy allows for employees to submit donation and sponsorship opportunities to the company for consideration, and to apply for donation matching, up to a certain amount, for qualified organizations.

Fostering
Education

We believe that education has the power to dramatically strengthen the communities where we operate. Each year, we participate in various educational and recruitment outreach programs: local university job fairs, career expos, and internship opportunities, and middle school and high school educational sessions and career days. Learn more about the ways we build career awareness through the Kern County Career Expo and our Summer Hire Partnership with Taft high school’s Oil Technology Academy.

Building Sustainable Relationships

Utah’s Uinta Basin is home to a portion of our operations, and we recognize and respect the rights, cultures, interests, and aspirations of indigenous peoples affected by our activities. We are committed to pursuing long-term and sustainable relationships with indigenous nations in and around our operations.

Corporate Support & Involvement
We acknowledge our collective duty to the communities in which we operate, and are honored to support the following local organizations:
